For those who do need education
It’s an old British Idiom far preceding Pink Floyd.
There is a bit of a Pink Floyd trend today: https://mander.xyz/post/27564901
Never before have I heard Spanish in a Scottish accent. My brain just tried it and I’m amused.
¡Tú! ¡Sí, tú! ¡Estarse quieta, chaval!
In my head I’m trying to yell it in that same rough accent. It sounds menacing.
I don’t know if the Scottish guy saying it would have perfect pronunciation or not… Like if he said “quesadilla” would it be “kay-so-dee-ah” or “kay-suh-dill-uh?” 🤔
My brain is somehow hearing the original voice, just…in the Spanish I’m reading. Maybe that’s why it sounds menacing haha

pudin should be postre
Yeah, seems like they tried to do a direct translation without accounting for the difference in the meaning of ‘pudding’ between UK and US English.
I think this entire calendar is direct translations. Other pages have seemed incorrect after I looked up unfamiliar words. Though my Spanish is not good enough to catch the errors most of the time.
eeeeeh.
