Edia Licenses Nine Classics to Shinyuden for Modern Release

Edia has announced that it has licensed nine classic titles to Shinyuden for release on modern platforms, starting with the launch of Final Zone on January 17, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch. The game will also be released shortly afterward on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This marks a significant step in bringing retro games to contemporary audiences. On January 17, 2025, Final Zone was the first of nine classic retro games to receive a modern re-release through a licensing deal between Edia and Shinyuden. These games were originally developed by Wolf Team.

  • Exile: Wicked Phenomenon
  • Final Zone
  • Gaudi: Barcelona no Kaze
  • GRIFFIN
  • Psycho Dream
  • Sol-Deace
  • Traysia

Shinyuden plans to release these titles across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S, One, and PC via Steam.

Edia is also considering reprints or remodeled versions of other retro titles from their catalog of 139 former Telenet Japan games.
