    Nah it’s fine. Basically grub can see the SSD where the kernel lies and boot the kernel, then the kernel can’t see the drive its on anymore

      The first thing I would try is booting from a live USB, mounting the old install, regenerating inframfs then update GRUB from terminal (it may or may not let you from terminal in the GRUB menu also)
