Lugosi sadly spiraled down in to a pretty rough, drug-abused life in the end.

All the way from being Hollywood’s premiere horror-themed celeb-actor as Dracula… to being ‘Karloff’s sidekick’… to trying to summon up the old magic for hilariously-incompetent filmmaker Ed Wood.

This is such a splendid film in any case, by Tim Burton. Easily top three IMO from a great director who always relished getting his hands a bit soiled by ‘weirdness,’ hah. Or… something like that.
