It’s built using an “open source version of the NT operating system.” It’s very much not just what linux is to minix. Minix uses an entirely different kernel to linux, I mean it’s even a micro kernel in comparison to linux’s monolithic one. The goal is 1 to 1 compatibility with windows software and drivers, it’s very much supposed to be basically an open source windows-like os.
