Reminds me of when I was working in construction. I’d keep a pencil behind my ear for marking things. One day I had finished marking things and I went to put my pencil back behind my ear, but there was already a pencil there. Not sure how that happened but lucky for me I have two ears.

  • Something similar happened to me. I went to a really high end expensive barber and we talked for 15mins about what i wanted and I said that i’d like him to recommend things and go with his opinion. We found a hairstyle that I also liked. After the haircut 5 different people asked me if I cheaped out on my haircut because it looks like shit. They said its not even that the style if bad they said it looks poorly cut. I am never ever straying away from telling barbers “Cut it short on top #2 on the sides”

  • Medicare includes disabled people of all ages and Insulin is used for people of all ages. Sure majority of the users are elderly but so what elder will always require the most medical care and any effort to bring that cost down for them is great.

You’re the one trying to attack the policy saying it ONLY affected elderly. It didnt only affectly elderly and that’s only affecting elderly isnt a reason against it.

  • CTC only lasted 1 year

wait no I mean CTC ended under biden

well actually it expires under trump but somehow this is still bidens fault.

Its actually gross how hard you try and undermine the left. Even when you are shown things that directly show ctc existing for more than a year throughout bidens entire term you never reconsider and think oh maybe I was wrong its not the dems who killed this. What would it take for you to blame trump? I bet even if trump used an executive order to remove the CTC you would be there saying “noo biden should have done more. Never vote dems” its almost like you want a right wing government.

  • Wild how you can read all this and walk away thinking I’m the one who is wrong. They made the claim drug price reduction was only for elderly then linked a source that said it was for elderly and other Medicare enrollees. They made the claim CTC only lasted a year then linked a source that said it has been around since 1997 and is still around.

This should be a massive wakeup call to any reasonable person. If you still can’t see that his statements were completely false.

  • It should be, but Americans still dont want universal healthcare. The last polling I saw had it at just over 50% supporting Universal healthcare. If you want to implement a huge change like universal healthcare you probably want to have at least 70% of the people on board. Otherwise you implement it and half the country tries to drag it down and make it unusable. Look at how the right wing in the UK is trying to destroy their national healthcare system.

Its ending under trump. The 1 year of significantly boosted CTC was government assistance given people. The right wing version of that would have been tax cuts for business. Could he have passed legislation that kept ctc at that amount, probably not and it would likely be repealed by Trump. Just because something could be better doesn’t mean it isn’t good. If you use “it could be better” as an justification for something being bad then people can say the same thing about things you mention. Oh yeah he passed boosted CTC forever well he should have increased it more, he should have given to to all families, he should just give that money to everyone. Lets be realistic instead of delusional so things in the real world can actually get better.

  • Yes but the rest are pointless since saying they passed a ton of left wing legislation isnt countered by listing random events that they didnt do.

We can go through all the events if you want. Schedule F was removed via EO on day 3 by biden and two house bills were drafted, one to remove the Schedule F workers that were classified and after that failed another was drafted to try and protect the workers who were reclassified by trump.

Packing the court out of retaliation is bad and every attempt in recent history has failed and I cant be fucked researching 'stuffing the postal board of governors" so you can have that. Dam I guess dems passed no left wing policy because they didnt stuff the postal board of governors.

If you don’t like that party isnt 100% behind every single thing then the thing to do is focus on getting candiates you like in the states that have shit dems instead of trying to sink the entire party. If you sink the entire party you dont end up with more left wing legislation you end up with more right wing legislation.

The options you then present are basically “Every option is shit, vote for this option that doesnt exist and is unpopular with majority of the country”

  • child tax credit only lasted one year

    not true at all

the cost reduction was only for the elderly

Not true and even if it was 100% elderly people it is still a bill that grants significantly cheaper drugs for 65million people of a demographic that is the most in need of perscription medication. Which is a objectively a good bill and furthers left wing ideals. If you dont agree I genuinely dont believe you are on the left since you actively want a worse world.

Are you getting your info from google AI summaries, im genuinely curious how you are so confidently wrong.

Of course im aware its the largest item its category once you filter spending into categories that specifically remove welfare and debt spending. Discretionary spending specifically is a small part of government expenditure so trying to pass the top item off as the largest expenditure by the government is misleading.

Skimming through the rest of your comment I can see i was right to ignore it since pretty much everything is wrong. Military industrial complex doesnt exist, majority of rich nations have debt, US has “free” healthcare its just worse than non existent, plenty of countries have “large” homeless populations and lastly yes a lot of countries have billionaires.

None of this is a capitalism problem. Its all the fault of poor governance. Given the track record of american leadership they would be in a far worse spot if they were at the mercy of their government for everything. Right now we see their government actively trying to destroy them.
