The world needs more comic/game/costume/sex shops…
I’ve visited there exactly once, and you’re right - it was crazy. I never went back and never plan to go back unless this backward state comes to it’s senses.
My list of reasons to never visit Idaho just keeps getting longer and longer.
I believe someone else used the term ‘sealioning’. It fits, in your case. This is why I don’t see any point in having a debate with you. Waste your time with someone else.
Never a waste of time to speak truth.
I see no need to do this.
I would argue that morality came before religion or spirituality, and therefore does not require either of them to exist.
One doesn’t do the right thing to be rewarded or to ‘get ahead’. One does the right thing because it’s the right thing to do. Selfishness only leads to insecurity and loneliness.
When you reveal yourself to be a bigoted, hateful person, most evolved and compassionate people tend to dislike you.
Why do you think the fascists try so hard to keep them divided and fighting each other?
Christianity is incredibly easy to fake. Anyone can call themselves a Christian with little, if any, blowback. It’s the whole ‘sinner saved by grace’ schtick - which is, essentially, “Yup, I’m a Christian but I don’t really have to act like one.”
Coming to a ‘Concentration Camp Overseer’ position near you.
My friend, you’re still missing the point. None of us can see into the future - we can’t know how our actions will inspire or encourage others. The Jacobins couldn’t have revolutionized anyone without the courageous actions of other revolutionaries (like those school boys) before them that slowly built upon each other over time to produce the collective sentiment that would lead to the overthrow. You are, of course, welcome to your own opinion.
Considering that most of the basic freedoms we currently enjoy were built upon the backs of those who died, you may have missed the point.
It would be a huge mistake, but I could see it happening.
You don’t have to be. What you’ve described is exactly what class consciousness is all about - recognizing that there’s a different set of rules for those who aren’t in power. :)
Looks like somebody just became class conscious. Welcome to the real fight, amigo!
Very little, if anything, would remain of our civilization in five or six million years. At least I wouldn’t think so, aside from what we have floating in outer space. Six million years is an awfully long time, and it’s not like our consumer-based society builds things to last…
