There are rumours of people at his companies to keep Musk occupied and away from the real work.
Costs. AI companies have been running at a big loss using investment money trying to scale quickly and conquer the market. That always comes at an end and something closer to the real costs has to be paid.
That was always the reason AI was put into everything.

15·1 day agoAI companies are switching to token based billing. Money is running out and heavy AI users are going to have to pay closer to the real price. People suddenly having to pay 10 times as much. You can just as well hire an intern for that money.

So AI is pretty useless
figuring out what we should do with all the computational power and potential labour
The first priority should always be figuring out a way to produce very cheap and healthy food, housing and clothing for everybody.
It’s just as valid for any AI lol. Anything out didn’t quite fit the training data it gets stuck lol. In robotics that’s a huge issue because there isn’t much training data lol
No, the tech ran into diminishing returns. That’s been studied. In the end you’re adding another datacenter just to get 1% better output.



Some folks just really like to believe there is an order to things, with people above them to aspire to, and people to kick down on.
