See I had this whole thing in another thread trying to explain socialism can mean different things to different people and times and I get the marxists with no the only definition is workers owning the means of production and im like. Planned economy talk aroud socialism predates his stuff. For me I want democracy and heavily taxed and regulated capitalism with many social safety nets and not allow pho capitalism. by that I mean anything without meaningful competition should be run by the government. As well as things that are necessities for all. Things like utilities, education, and medical care. Toys on the other hand. yeah that can be whoever wants to make a go of it as long as they follow regulations and pay their taxes.

only problem with this is if a group gets into control that essentially wants to extract and skate. Or manipulating things into little fiefdoms. I sorta agree as much as possible should be decided at the local level. carry guns and sale of alcohol come to mind but there has to be national level rights and regulation. Like owning a gun or alcohol in your home or not dumping poisons into waterways.

I don’t use satnav. I get a map route and use it as general guide of where to go. I use llms much but honestly mostly to evaluate their capabilities to see if they will start being useful to use. Of course I don’t really use smartphones either. From what people are saying I kinda wonder if there are folks on llms all the time on their phone.

this. taxes and regulation are part of a healthy economy. Its like excersising and eathing right. we have been a idle junk food eating economy for a long time now.

yeah it depends on the level. we are earthdust and eat earthstuff to stay alive. Go one out and its sun. go another and its maybe black holes or at the very least the big bang which could be one more iteration. maybe membrane at that point and vibrating strings and such.

see that is just the thing. If they had went linux and relases their pc games as linux compatible but not windows compatible. I mean im thinking in that their box just became a kind of sony linux distro with their whole system made around it. Then like windows users would have to use a linux compatibility thing. I think this would have been a better play.

yeah. this is what im talking about. imagine if they encouraged it and yeah maybe they would have to stop selling at a loss but still if they just made their own system based on linux. I mean microsoft was their main competitor at the time.
