You may be onto something. If we take away HL: Lost Coast, and both HL: Deathmatch versions, there are 9 titles.
With the rumoured title code named HL:X it makes me wonder how they’re going to announce it (granted these rumours are true).

The game itself helped me understand people, who are no longer with us, in a better way. The manner in which psychosis is presented is powerfully accurate, at least from an outsider perspective. It made me cry as it portrayed struggles in a manner truthful to the symptoms beyond the effects - the story and execution of it really gripped me.

Otherwise, I found an article which seems to allude to advanced volume settings to ‘normalise audio’, on an Xbox, in a similar way: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/hardware-network/display-sound/choosing-speaker-audio-output
If you’re using a Playstation, it may be worth digging around in your system settings. Sometimes the option is referred to as ‘equalise’, ‘dynamic range’, etc.
Hope this helps!

My speakers are decent with hearing everything, however I can definitely notice the vocals being considerably lower than the music and such.
There is a way to normalise audio levels from within Windows sound settings, you just have to remember to revert once you’re done playing.
This seems to be a good article about it: https://pureinfotech.com/normalize-sound-volume-windows-10/It’s a workaround, but it should help with the game and anything else you’d have this issue with. If you’re using Linux, unfortunately I can’t help. Good luck!

Just thought of giving that a mention. It may be worth having a look in your game settings, if there is an option to output as Stereo.

JadenSmith@sh.itjust.worksto Games@lemmy.world•What's a cancelled game you really miss?English1·22 days agoMy word, I remember playing this when I was a teenager (and I’m in my mid-30s now).
I remember doing all those trick movements, the slash and dash, wall climbs, weapon switching for quick dash etc.
Then several months into playing, I found out people were using macros for those instead of… Pressing all the keys manually…
My hands hurt so much until that discovery.
On my father’s sardines, I hope this becomes a phrase.

It was a memory I wouldn’t forget, not that it was anything spectacular though it smelt rather bad. Ironic since I mix tobacco with my weed now a fair bit (unless I’m vapourising).
Now it just surprises me that smoking was ever allowed inside aircrafts. Absolutely mad times we have come from.

I have night terrors occasionally.
The other night I was dreaming of stomping on someone, and I woke up just smacking the wall with my foot. Had a limp for the day lol… Happens occasionally.

I remember back before I got my own PC. My brother had Windows 98, installed Morpheus (similar to Kazaa).
I looked for a game, I think it was some console game. “Wow, I didn’t even know this was on PC! Wow, it’s only 15MB, how did they get the game so small?? Computers are cool!”
Every time I ran it, the screen would go all funky with every click and after a while return to normal. On a separate occasion I deleted System32 files (whichever ones it let me at the time), to free up space.
It’s quite funny that a lot of people ask me for various advice, fixing devices, PCs, etc. just a friendly reminder to myself that everyone starts somewhere. Boy I messed up so many PCs when I was much younger.

I called a random guy in Japan; he was learning English, I wanted to learn Japanese (as is tradition for teenage anime fans). It was a very kind series of calls, and we talked a bit about Japanese culture too. He taught me, rather patiently, how to pronounce certain basic words properly.
It’s a shame the service was treated like it has been. There was great potential in connecting people.Wherever you are, random Japanese dude I forgot the name of, konbanwa!!

Future proofing seems to be the idea I’m getting, that and customisations/custom firmware. I used to have custom screensavers on one many years ago, which I’m going to do again.
I used to really love point and clicks, in the style that yours seems to be, and I really missed them.
I honestly could not add this to my wishlist any faster. I wish you the best of luck with the release!
