And keep in mind that that judge most likely gave that search warrant request an enormous amount of scrutiny simply because it was a sitting member of Congress.
That’s how investigations work.
If you see in that article, it stalled for a while as they looked deeper into the paper trail and as more information come to light, investigations can go in more than one direction.
