  • I graduated college last year and I’m still in unemployment hell. I have a CS degree so now I’m too overqualified for retail and too underqualified for tech jobs, despite the fact that I have made numerous projects and have tried my best to upskill, I’m still not good enough apparently. It is super frustrating and demotivating to wake up to rejection emails month after month after month.

  • I got a CS degree earlier this year. I’m Autistic and am genuinely really passionate about it. I’ve put out hundreds of applications and got 1 interview but was ultimately rejected. I’ve tried applying to retail positions, even with a dumbed down resume so I don’t look overqualified, and they don’t want me either. I’m extremely low on money and I’ve been getting really bad panic attacks lately. I don’t even know what to do anymore.

  • This reminds me of when I was in middle school and did a Scratch game dev class. I decided to use multiplication instead of simple addition and subtraction to make my character jump because the latter looks horrible and janky. My teacher accused me of cheating the moment I pressed the space button. Even after I explained how it worked to her she still didn’t believe me. I still got a good grade but after that she started watching me like a hawk; I assume she thought she would catch me cheating but never did since I was never cheating.

  • Most of the roundabouts near me have the crosswalks right up by the circle, so you’d have to either stop on top of the crosswalk, or stop with it in front of you. If you stopped with the crosswalk behind you, you’d be in the circle.

And I do look at the circle ahead of time and will go if it is clear, but if it isn’t then I do stop, and it happens to take me longer to make a decision as to when I am good to go than most other people.

If I didn’t live in freedumb land, I wouldn’t drive, but driving is the only reliable option here.
