I don’t think he’s saying that there were actual terror campaigns against the right. More that NSA is terrifying no matter if the left or right has control over it and that it was just as bad before Trump in 2016. Right wingers just get more concerned about NSA when left wingers control it and vice versa.
Thankfully privacy is not (yet) a left/right issue. Plenty of rightwingers that also care about privacy and plenty of leftwingers that don’t.
I don’t know the answer to your question (though I’n guessing their github isn’t the repo they actually use for development and thus could be a little behind), but Aurora and Google Play should have the same version, as Aurora just fetches it from Google Play as far as I know.
If you’re on a free plan, doesn’t it make sense for them to push their paid plans to you? They don’t sell your data so they need to make money somehow.
