  • I strongly recommend you to see the video i have linked. The maker is a former anti-theist who has learned how hateful and discriminatory this kind of thinking was and how prominent proponents of this thinking went on to apply the same attacks on “wokeness” and are now part of the Trump side of US politics.

If you cannot think of religious people as normal people, whose characters and life situations cover the entire spectrum of human life, that is problematic. Referring to people as “victims” because they dont share the same convictions as you do, is marginalizing them and a convienent escape as you don’t have to intellectually engage with their position. In such “Anti-Theists” fall into the same pitfalls they accuse religious people off, by not only declaring their own convictions as the ultimate truth, but marginalizing everyone who does not share the same convictions.

And that is where “Anti-Theism” leads to “Anti-Wokeness” for many prominent proponents of it. Please watch the video, as it explains that much better and in detail.

  • I’ve met a scholar who joked that these days you are called a Hafiz, if you memorize the entire Quran. During history many scholars referred to as Hafiz also memorized a hundred thousand Hadith (reports about the life of the Prophet Mohamed sas) or more.

It is really crazy how strong many peoples convictions about Islam are, with how little they usually now about Islam outside of the hate filled propaganda they have been fed for the past decades in many western countries.

  • Much worse? I don’t think we are at the point to tell yet. The problem is also that the US has always acted in the way of a Fascist empire to the outside, which many US-Americans chose to be ignorant about. The US has murdered millions of people in Vietnam and surrounding countries, at least a million in Iraq and hundreds of thousands if not up to a million or two in South America since the 1950s. The US has fully supported the genocide and ethnic cleansing against millions of Palestinians under a “Democratic” president and people kept justifying to support him by arguing that a slow genocide is acceptable.

So the US started from a point that was worse than 1920 Germany, but only time will tell if the end point will be as bad as 1945 Germany.

  • Seriously. Trump is not some random disease that came out of nowhere. He is a symptom of a system that is fundamentally and severely ill and whose past power holders and power brokers have been reinforcing the system to become like this.

Even if you get rid of Trump now. Unless the system is fundamentally changed, which included removing all current elites from power and permanently barring them from it, another guy like Trump or maybe even worse will come to power.

Why could Trump sweep back in for a second presidency after four years of DNC rule? Because the DNC was ultimately happy with where Trump lead the country and they were happy to continue many of his policies, rather than giving Fascism the boot.

The problem is not that it spreads. It is that it then suffocates other plants that can’t handle staying near it.

Of course having the ecological wasteland of lawns isn’t good either. You want to create the conditions for a balance habitat to establish. Mint can be an obstacle to this and be detrimental to the biodiversity in your garden, if left unchecked.
