you do not need a phone at a protest. and do not buy a burner phone either, because even if you pay with cash, they can track you. there are a few hackers that have gotten caught this way. every phone sold has the location it was sold, and when, recorded. at that point, it’s trivial for law enforcement to ask for camera footage that shows who bought the phone.

There’s a reason for that, and it’s more than the usual Valve fanboyism. The Deck is objectively a better user experience than the alternatives, Steam Input is a masterpiece, Linux runs games better than Windows now (thanks, Gabe), and the community around it is friendly and super helpful to everyone.

Even a device with better specs will have trouble surpassing the Deck if they can’t cover these areas as well.

A better way to put it is that email clients don’t support Proton. And I doubt any are going to make an effort to, unless the way Proton works becomes the norm. You would have to completely redesign the email client.

It’s far easier for everyone to write an app that can then be used by any email client.
