Like there is McDonald’s in Israel does that mean McDonald’s is complicit in genocide? (I actually don’t know if they give money to support Israel but my point is more broad than that and might be a bad example)

Edit: Also for the McD’s example I guess they make money off of Israelis but I still posit that is different to a large degree with being complicit in genocide.

I disagree. If its keeping everything local it is inherently private. These system tools are there for security and auditing and troubleshooting. If you are worried about someone getting into your system and doing nefarious shit secure your device better don’t disable OS level functionality.

Why are you putting words in my mouth? The police wouldn’t even need firearms in the way they do if it wasn’t for the incredible amount of weapons in this country. This is how most reasonable countries around the world work. Firearms are relegated to extreme situations and most law enforcement officers don’t have access to them. Not to mention most countries require what is equivalent to a couple year degree of schooling to be a LEO

Cry more you servile little pig. Half of the problem in this country with weapons is how accessible they are. Fancying yourself to be the “good guy with a gun” makes you look like a fucking moron in the face of every piece of evidence that suggests the overabundance of weapons in this country is the reason we see so much needless violence.

I fundamentally disagree with this as an effective tool for building a mass movement that is necessary for the change we want to foment. We cannot achieve these goals by beginning our fight as a fractured base - this is why political education is such an important part of the process in organizing new people into these movements. Not a single person raised in liberal society popped out of the womb as a leftist - every one of us had someone pull us into this fight in one way or another and kick start our development as political actors. As people able to do that for others now I see it as our duty to do so.

I agree with ensuring not to subordinate leftist orgs to liberals BUT we must be open to them joining our spaces. How else are we going to bring our ideas to them? Many liberals just need a push in the right direction to seeing the web of evil that all comes from capitalism but they aren’t going to get that as readily if we are actively turning them away. We have to be willing to meet people where they are at and educate them especially these people self selecting into more radical groups who are definitely more easily agitated into broader political engagement.

I am actively working with the Ohio DSA chapters to help plan ways to assist against the impending ICE incursion when the Haitian community loses its Temporary Protected Status. Every body helps doing outreach to drive volunteers to get the rapid response networks and mutual aide networks going!

We have to band together as a community NOW. Join the groups organizing and planning in your area so you can help make sure your friends, family, and community members are as ready as they can be.
