Because no one wants to be the first to start a revolution. No one wants to be a martyr to get the cause going. No one is desperate enough yet to put their life and freedom on the line.

Not that I want to link to reddit, but there was a thread from a guy who had to have his foot amputated due to injury. He took it home, prepared it and then ate it. https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/8p5xlj/hi_all_i_am_a_man_who_ate_a_portion_of_his_own/
“Patriotism is in decline” so instead of addressing the root of the issue and stop moving the country to the fascist right let’s indoctrinate the kids. Maybe we can have an executive order to help do that. And call it the “stop indoctrinating our kids” or something like that. It’s not like anyone will see the irony of naming it literally the exact opposite of what it’s doing.
Fuck this dystopic administration.
Maybe someday I’ll be a millionaire. Hopefully it won’t be at the same time a loaf of bread is $100 and a million dollars is poverty.
Except XX and XY aren’t the only combinations. There is just a single X, XXX. XXY, and XXY.
And then there are just plain intersex individuals who produce both or neither reproductive cells. Chromosomes may not express themselves properly.
Biology isn’t as simple and clear cut as you make it out to be.
And the only reason they used “at conception” is to signal that life begins at conception for the abortion argument. The executive order doesn’t actually have anything to do anything with science, it only tries to use it as an excuse for their anti-trans beliefs.
Let’s not forget XXY and intersex individuals. Lots of chromosomal disorders could make this even trickier.
Habitat for Humanity restores are gold. Most of my furniture is from there. They have pretty high standards for the stuff they take.
I’ve been tempted to create a bot that does nothing but search comments in code for misspelled words and create pull requests for them.
If it stays in comments, little chance in breaking a working codebase and I’d have an insane amount of commits and contributions to a wide variety of codebases for my resume.
I’ll never be a top tier coder. But I might make management.
I agree, I didn’t like the new combat system.
But I really like turn based combat. I don’t like to have to run around, spam buttons, or time anything right. I like to read and have time to make a decision. It’s a personal preference, but one that made me not get very far in the remake.
