Yeah, but most Trump sign houses are suburban McMansions and historic urban estates. Like we keep saying, the die hard MAGA people are thoroughly bourgeois and have been all their lives.

2·7 days agoTrue, there’s no reason to have everyone working at the level of automation we’ve reached, but some people think it’s the 1950s or something.

21·8 days agoIf I had to guess, it’s probably because for a lot of people being a NEET is depressing state of being. No direction or control over your life and you’re at the whims of whatever happens to your family, economically. People with nothing to look forward to tend to wig out over petty shit like one less tendie.
I was hoping she could fix me.
I didn’t mean to imply that liberalism and conservativism are completely indistinguishable, but rather that conservative thought generally represents the right wing of liberalism in the west. Sorry if this was unclear.
This omits what an earlier comment pointed out: that your typical MAGA/MAGA-adjacent “conservative” public figure is essentially fascist.
Chef’s kiss emoji on this one. Absolute legend.
The carrot thing isn’t totally untrue, but it’s a bit more complex. If you’re skilled in a trade, you probably have more of a chance of not being financially uprooted than someone with a white collar degree whose job will be AI’d in the next 5 years. That said, to make decent money in a trade, it helps a lot to have a degree from a trade school.
If you want a job as a radiology tech, what hospital is giving them out with no degree?
Pretty good, but the Dems are equally rudderless and won’t prosecute, just like last time.

521·1 month agoIt’s a sanitized social gathering funded by the Democratic party and a bunch of equally lame affiliates. I’ve been to these. They’re meant for boomers to sing We Shall Overcome together and not much else.
I wanna jump her beans.
