All of this is imo, but. My biggest issue with BB is that most of the characters lack any meaningful depth; they feel like caricatures rather than real people. The writers didn’t have a long term plan for BB, and I feel like it shows in a lot of the storylines. I don’t think Walt’s character was consistent at all, which bugs me because he’s the focal point of the story.

All of these things I think BCS addressed and improved on. And again, I don’t even really dislike BB, I just think it feels like an off-brand sopranos. BCS, on the other hand, is the genuine article. I honestly think it’s one of the best shows that’s ever aired on regular cable. But I’m just some random dickhead on the internet, so who cares what I think lol.

I loved parks and rec, and I think that’s a super fair way to feel about it. It has a very cheesy veneer hiding some really great comedy. I think 30 Rock had the same problem, and I get why a lot of people weren’t into it. Or maybe the comedy just doesn’t resonate with a some people, idk. I liked it, but I can see why other people wouldn’t, even if I can’t verbalize that.

Me with Breaking Bad. Just to get ahead of the insufferable BB fans, it’s not a bad show, it’s just no Wire or Sopranos. Better Call Saul, though? Oh baby, now we’re talking.
