the 2008 V8 manual Mustang’s rated curb weight is 3,483 and the 2018 Model 3 LR is at 3,891, again as my other post stated, they’re roughly equivalent, M3 a bit more and again, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE between the two is that tires that were equivalent Pirelli non “EV Rated” and with equivalent driving styles, the EV just did not last as long and that increased the cost FOR TIRES.

I went with the “EV rated” tires because at that point I was willing to try something different after having two sets of tires that lasted less than 25K out of a 50K rated tire that lasted 15K longer on a similar car and surprisingly that “EV rated” tire did last a bit longer than the stock or Perilli’s even though the ride was not great.

No one was saying it’s about electricity causing tires to wear down faster there sherlock.

I went from a V8 mustang to the model 3 so they’re fairly close to the same weight class, model 3 still weights a bit more, and similar type of acceleration and course my driving is going to be the same in both. I went from 40 -45K miles between tire changes to 25K -30K between changes with similar Pirelli tires and a early “EV rated” tires, which were more expensive than even the Pirelli’s.

That’s been my experience with my EV so far but even with the tires, it’s still better than ICE for the most part.

Well good for you that your experience with replacing a gas car with a EV car doesn’t cost you more in tires. That’s not my experience and not the experience of others and yes I spend a more on tires than the ICE car, not SUV, car that I replaced with the same driving habits.

As a EV driver, all the money you save on gas, save it for tires.

U.S. Steel was in trouble twenty years ago when they refused to upgrade and keep up with the times in terms of technology and kept with their old, busted manufacturing because “shareholder value” despite my friend trying to make them aware it all sucked. End result is what we’re seeing now due to corporate incompetence.

Also, the workers weren’t exactly the brightest either and even at his plant, they voted against their own interest all the freaking time where we were at.

25 years later and we’re also finally learning that Republicans and moderate Democrats lied to New Yorkers about the air quality post attack, covered it up, and now thousands are dying from cancer most likely due to this with clusters happening all over the place.

I don’t think that OP is expecting Democrats or Progressives to get things through the Trump administration without a supermajority that can override his veto. What we are hoping for/expecting is that Democrats and Progressives to say “Fuck you, we’re passing this bill and sending it on.”

Medicare for All? “Fuck you we’re passing this bill, veto it motherfucker!”. Taxing rich people? “Fuck you we’re passing this bill, veto this PDF”. Repealing the Medicare cuts? “Hey, asshole, we passed it, oh and go fuck yourselves”. Repeal the procedural filibuster? “Fuck it, we’ll do it live!”. Impeachment? “Hey, it’s Tuesday, this asshole just did something unbecoming of the office, guess it’s time to have another impeachment hearing, oh and fuck you, that’s why.”

Just try instead of rolling over on day one, what we’re asking for even if you know it’s destined to fail and show that you’re willing to do the work. Back your shit up with actions instead of just words of “Well it’ll never pass so we’ll never try”. Say what you will about Republicans, when they get in power, they do not give a fuck and will introduce every bad idea in their head and dare the President to veto it and that’s why their base votes for them consistently.

Sure. That’s probably thanks to the progressive taxation. I’d probably fall under the higher tax brackets if I had an equivalent job in Canada and probably be paying at least 15K a year for healthcare there.

But you know what? I’d be more than happy to pay that for if it meant free at the point of use healthcare for everyone since I’ve gone from poverty to not having food insecurity and know what it’s like to not have any insurance.

I mean I’m working at a fortune 500 company and with my stupid high deductible plan even I don’t want to go unless it’s something that pretty urgent. I mean I already pay 10K+ a year for my family and then it’s another 10K to meet the deductible and every doctor’s appointment that’s not the annual checkup is two to three hundred dollars and urgent care is even more expensive so yeah, it’s basically unless there’s something absolutely wrong, it’s avoid the doctor and only go when things are basically unbearable even knowing I could afford to go.

US heathcare is a joke and unpopular opinion but the ACA, aka, Federal Romneycare, needs to be ripped out and actual universal healthcare needs to be enacted.

Personally I treat early access like kickstarters at this point, I just avoid them by and large because of the rampant issues with delivery.

Unless the policy changes for early access and allow me to request a full refund if the game is abandoned and allow for something like a week of evaluation after 1.0 to determine if crap was released, I doubt I would buy most early access games at this point.
