There was a time when it was ok to be unwelcoming towards stupidity. They weren’t better times, but they were delusional in a different way.
Some dirtbag that shouldn’t have bred.

I definitely agree with you, but I remember how Digg & then Reddit both went to shit once the masses started to use them. Same with Facebook.
I feel like if we all spread out between multiple platforms, none will become big enough for the enshitification to hit them.
I disagree. Things seem to get worse when the herds move to them. It’s as if things are good precisely because they aren’t there.

Black men will likely suffer the mostEnglish75·18 days agoThey’re trying to get brown people out of the military, because white people will be willing to attack brown civilians at home, cause all white people are racists according to them.

By ignore I meant to ignore their bullshit. It feels to me like too many people are drinking the koolaid & paying attention to their misdirections.
We need to ignore their bullshit, and just act in response to their “clandestine” actions. Like, I’m sure the Trump vs Musk fight from like a week ago was a misdirection, and it got too much traction.
That traction tells them that it’s effective to do that bullshit. We need to teach them otherwise.

Just saying that they get fired up by it, instead of (edit: no idea how it became “or” because I meant instead of) discouraged.
It might be smarter for us to use different methods.
The biggest offense to them is to be ignored. At least that’s what I’ve noticed.

That’s why they invented the term “social justice warrior,” when in most places that’s just how society works: by holding people accountable.
You guys weren’t supposed to find my animal form.
This is one of my favorite greentexts ever

They seen to have _caused and supported_ unlawful government.21·21 days agoThe ones that created the government had to actually fight for their freedom. People became complacent afterwards, and seem to think that freedom is a given.
It reminds me of some quote “freedom isn’t owned, it’s rented, and rent is due everyday.”
Definitely think that’s SOME men, but I’ve usually wanted to make sure my partners had as good a time as I could’ve provided, at the given time of sexual engagement. I’m not that unique.
And that smell you’re mentioning is the GOOD vagina smell. I know exactly what you mean, and it’s HOT AS FUCK.
The unclean version of that smell? Not so much…

So yeah, it was about spreading more advertisements around to more people.

Like, most people don’t care about her or even hear anything about her anymore. It’s just about Harry Potter, because that’s what it’s always been about. I almost feel like the discussion about her is bot farms creating that discussion.
kemsat@lemmy.worldtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•a harry potter fan's guide to navigating pride monthEnglish33·28 days agoI can get behind being in spite of her & other wealthy elites but I can’t abandon what my time with those books meant to me despite of her spite. So, y’all can guillotine her, I’ll still keep the books. But it really is the case that when I hear about her it’s because of these kinds of posts nowadays.
kemsat@lemmy.worldtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•a harry potter fan's guide to navigating pride monthEnglish168·28 days agoI think all the attention y’all give to her is what’s keeping this in the cultural spotlight. I basically never think about her, or the books, until I see posts like these on the internet. We gotta separate the art from the artist.
If it means developers won’t make “live-service”/trash games anymore, we should hasten the SKG movement.
