Thank you! :) It’s definitely a passion project for me, because I love the game so much.
I run a forum where the first post was started 23 years ago. Although the activity has drastically gone down during recent years, people still occasionally come by. I’m very happy I kept it up, even though a lot of people switched over to a Discord server.
Recently we had an incident where the sole admin of the Discord server was banned and the whole Discord had to be abandoned and created from scratch. People still keep using this trash! I’m not arguing with them, I’ll just keep an alternative up. One day, when Discord really enshittifies itself to a point where it becomes unuseable, people will be happy for my stubborness. I hope.
(It’s a forum for an obscure space pirate game for the PC - I-War 2. Its first post is here.)
Thinkpad with a trackpoint?
But at least Android still has the option to enable the old button bar at the bottom of the screen, it has a back button that pretty much closes everything that opens up.
Derezzed by the Master Control Program
I watched that last week at the cinema! It was a surprise movie event. What a weird and hilarious movie, I’ve never laughed so hard. 🤣
My dad let me play Wolfenstein and Duke Nukem 3D when I was seven. What a guy.
I work on a GPD Win Max 2, so what does that mean? 😃
…probably gonna get fired when my employer catches me playing Cyberpunk.
I had a Thinkpad L390 Yoga before. Constant overheating, the logo sticker just came off one day and stuck to my hand and the battery barely lasted through a meeting. Absolute garbage, never again. The Thinkpad brand is dead to me.
Now I have eight cores, 64GB RAM, a GPU with raytracing support and a 2K IPS display…all in 10 inches with 8-10 hours of battery life. GPD is insane and those specs would cost me an arm and a leg if I stuck with IBM brainfart, Lenovo of course.
Not really, everything else should just work. At least if you don’t plan to buy an obscure USB sound card or something like that 😄
Have fun!
Nvidia drivers on Linux are messy and have been for a long time. It took them ages to fix Vsync in Wayland. If you want to run Linux, go AMD (or Intel).
Same here, it was unbelievably shallow. Everything I liked it just mimiced, without even trying to do a simulation of a real conversation. “Oh you like cucumbers? Me too! I also like electronic music, of course. Do you want some nudes?”
Even when I’m at my loneliest, I still prefer to be lonely than have a “conversation” with something like this. I really don’t understand how some people can have relationships with an AI.
