Yeah it’s been great. Stardew Valley Expanded adds areas and characters and stuff to the game that feels like they belong in the original world. The creator did an amazing job.

I have no idea. Only recently tried an expansion mod for the first time. I never even considered conversion mods might be a thing for this game.

A benchmark for computers? When it’s been played on calculators and printers?

And that’s before you start talking about modding the game.

The amount of mods for this game is insane. From simple QoL stuff through to full expansions.

No replay of the game ever has to be the same.

Sorry to hear. It is a bit of an issue trying to work with these proprietary, closed systems. Sometimes it works and other times it just doesn’t.

I had success with one old model of Xiaomi band and not with another. There are all kinds of hacks and workarounds with modified versions of the Mi Fitness app to get it working on some models and it may or may not work for you.

Which is fair. I very likely misread it because us tech-minded people have a tendency to be smug or look down on our peers when they miss something we deem obvious (that’s been my experience online at least).

While this is obviously the solution, being smug and pointing at it as if it’s obvious and women are stupid for not knowing about it doesn’t help.

If anything we need to figure out how to help women discover drip or whatever alternative we want to recommend. We need to figure out how to get it higher up on the Play Store’s search results rather than it being impossible to discover at something like #40 on that list. We need to figure out how to introduce F-droid and related solutions in a way that is as close to frictionless as possible.

Sadly, not everyone is willing to put in the amount of work we are and others aren’t even aware of the issues.

All of this goes along with uBlock Origin on a Firefox-based browser. Block as thoroughly and effectively as you possibly can.
