I don’t know how well it measures up to privacy standards at the level of GrapheneOS, but Ollee might be of interest to you if you want to go the retro route. It lets you convert a standard Casio F-91W into a smartwatch.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•If CEOs think they can replace everyone with AI, why do they think Wall St. will need CEOs?English
36·10 months agoWhat CEOs never seem to grasp in that context is that they wouldn’t just replace their workers with AI but also their customers… AI doesn’t earn a wage and therefore can’t spend it on (unnecessary) goods… No customer, no revenue. No revenue, no profits. No profit, no dividends.
Probably why they’re working so hard on commoditizing basic necessities like food, water and housing into subscription based systems… 🤔

1·1 year agoYou don’t need SteamOS to play games via Steam on linux. Just use any linux distro (preferably one that supports newer gaming hardware), install Steam, go to Settings > Compatibility and “Enable Steam Play for all other titles”. There’s a drop-down that let’s you choose different Proton Versions (some work better than others, hence the config-reviews on ProtonDB to see what works).
