60·8 months agoThose of us possibly even older may point to the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine in '87. From Wikipedia, the fairness doctrine “required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that fairly reflected differing viewpoints.” In short, it’s repeal paved the way for Fox News and led all the way to CBS under Weiss.
But to your point, there are 3 things on my platform that I tell anyone who wants to hear it. 3 actionable items:
- Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine.
- Repeal the Patriot Act.
- Overturn Citizens United.
I didn’t say it would be easy.
I agree, which is why I don’t see why people are saying the answer is 16. You add in the parentheses, you multiply, then you divide. The answer is 1.
This left-to-right business linked below is complete nonsense when it comes to equations. That’s how westerners read books, but not how math is communicated. Am I that old? Like Mr. Incredible said, did they change math!?!

I just heard about this on a podcast. The hosts and guest were giggling about “Mr Hands” and didn’t go into any specifics, but I got that they were talking about a large penis. Now I know just how large, thanks!

Then we can take a talented keyboardist but make him play the shittiest sounding electric organ. And we can make sure the recording makes it all sound like a cat and some tin cans in a dryer.

He is in the article and mentioned as a lefty, but just absent from the article’s title. I agree, just say “one out of 40” and you still make your point.
My dad loved this movie and watched it constantly during his mental decline. It was a great comfort to him, always made him cry.
