I’ve got the big 4 birthday coming very soon. I already have enough ailments to complain about but I’ll wait for now. Not enough time in the day to be bitter about that.

I think you might have a little bit to go yet, enjoy your remaining youth!

I think its neat too! Hydrogen bonds ftw.

“You won’t believe how many people each year die from asphyxiation due to this rocket fuel combustion byproduct!”

I would not agree that Fahrenheit is what is wrong with the USA but the jingoistic opposition to metricization is probably a symptom of delusional American exceptionalism, which does hit closer to the mark.

Or fully-hydrogenated oxygen.

Exactly my sentiment but that doesn’t mean we need this low-effort editorial masquerading as a news piece

I didn’t read the whole article but it reads like this is just some guy speculating based on the reaction to Windows 11, rather than anything remotely grounded in fact, or even the rumors mentioned in the byline.
I forgot about this game, was pretty neat. A good way to learn about all the cars they made. If you find it in a PS1 game bargain bin somewhere check it out.
I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as a technical, is in fact, GNU/Technical, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Technical.
Took the dogs to the vet the other day to get their shots, and the friggin rabies tags were Texas-shaped. Ugly!

Article is from February last year isn’t it? What happened with this?

It would be purely self-serving, tribal culture war outrage and not out of concern for giving fast food workers a holiday. I bet it would come from the same people who give out those Bible tracts disguised as US dollar bills as their tip at a restaurant.

If we want to take a shower from scratch we must first invent the universe.

I suspect coal country in Kentucky, WV and rural PA and Virginia and the western plains in Nebraska and Kansas, which are already severely stressed with population loss, will see some real ghost towns soon. Especially if the Ogallala aquifer dries up in the latter case.

Since you said “house” I’m going to push back a little bit. Housing is unaffordable and we should address it but single-family homes are not a feasible solution for a lot of places and situations.
I’m sure the page had lots of them once, but they all broke down or rusted away long ago, heh.
Pretty sure that they would counter, that if you’re not willing to relocate to literally anywhere at no notice and at your own expense you don’t really want to work. 1500 per week is simply not possible unless you’re looking nationally if not internationally depending on the industry.
Reddit does the courtesy of blocking my VPN so I am not tempted to use it and be tracked.
I always thought it was crazy to wonder what the qualia of colors we can’t see but other animals can is. It’s sort of like being a cat or some other animal with limited color vision and trying to imagine what humans see. How would you prove to a cat that those colors exist?
