Oh, that’s a hot tip. I didn’t know the watches could handle tap to pay independent of the phone.
… Though I’m awaiting a new pebble, not sure I’d like to dual wield watches.

Ah fair. All I get is “not available in my region”.

Sure, it is a step away that carries friction for me.
But you’re speaking in absolutes and blanketing “every step”.
I’ve taken many steps away from Google that were not “painless”.

There are always trade offs.
I would love to main a Linux phone, as I’m sure many here would. But the present trade offs are too great.
NFC payments are extremely convenient, especially when managing multiple cards - some of which are virtual. It’s a service I had, then went without for awhile, and then appreciate having back again.
I understand my initial comment makes it seem like I never carry a wallet true - which is not true - and liking Google Wallet is akin to saying “but I just like smoking” (in this community).
It’s great that you don’t find it as convenient, which means the trade off isn’t as substantial for you. However for my 5 days a week commuting it’s a load off.

No one said it did? It’s a service that I find great value in, and one that I had given up for a time and enjoy having access to again.
Everyone has their limit, this one is presently mine.

I’m sure there are, but thus far you haven’t made compelling/relevant ones.

Thanks, I had seen this but Curve is UK specific.

This was my experience as well. I didn’t have an SNES, and so every opportunity that I could play this at my friend’s house, I did. I never got all the way through until I emulated it in university.
I did, however, get a Game Boy, and Link’s Awakening became my defining Legend of Zelda.

I ran graphene on a Pixel 4A 5G for a while until that phone inexplicably died.
I now have a Pixel 8 Pro, and I haven’t installed Graphene on it. Why? Google wallet.
That shit is so convenient. That I can leave my own wallet at home and tap to get on transit, tap my work’s virtual credit card, etc is holding me back from a second install.

Is it published how many they have sold worldwide?

A few things come to mind
For me, Starsiege: Tribes set a bar that has not been cleared since. AVP 2 came close. Tribes: Ascend also came close in its earlier days.

a weird world we live in.

What does “picked the bear” mean?

I absolutely love this. I’m not yet immersed in meshtastic, but this is where I want to get, eventually.

Search settings, UI customizations, vertical tab settings, extension settings all come to mind.

You don’t need to head to about:config for this, it’s right there in the settings GUI.

Different strokes I suppose. I first tried emulation on the Rock 5B that I have running Android TV but it did not perform.
I don’t have a living room PC and couldn’t get one for CAD 200 + Wii remotes + mayflash dolphinbar.
For ease of use with a little kid who is starting to game, this has worked out.

I picked up a used Wii U with 4 Wii-motes for 200 CAD.
This lets me play (every?) GameCube, Wii, and Wii U games, along with any NES, SNES, N64, and 3(DS) games that were released to the virtual console/Wii U shop - and no fussing around with emulators.
It’s a huge catalogue of games to play natively with proper Wii-mote support, or 3rd party bluetooth controllers
I’ll eventually get a picofly installed in my V2 Switch - but for the time being the Wii U is a great value gaming machine.
I would totally expect this of Boox, but am curious to know the examples. Do you have any you could share?
