  • There are always trade offs.

I would love to main a Linux phone, as I’m sure many here would. But the present trade offs are too great.

NFC payments are extremely convenient, especially when managing multiple cards - some of which are virtual. It’s a service I had, then went without for awhile, and then appreciate having back again.

I understand my initial comment makes it seem like I never carry a wallet true - which is not true - and liking Google Wallet is akin to saying “but I just like smoking” (in this community).

It’s great that you don’t find it as convenient, which means the trade off isn’t as substantial for you. However for my 5 days a week commuting it’s a load off.

  • A few things come to mind

    1. Is this much different from the “reading view” popularized by Instapaper, reading later, etc and now baked into most browsers today?
    2. What is a token?
    3. How is it that tokens have become the base unit on which we denominate LLM work/effort/task difficulty/cost?
    4. Does every LLM model make use of “tokens” or is it just one or a select few?
    5. If multiple use the idea of tokens, is a token with one LLM/provider equivalent to a token with a different LLM/provider?

  • I picked up a used Wii U with 4 Wii-motes for 200 CAD.

This lets me play (every?) GameCube, Wii, and Wii U games, along with any NES, SNES, N64, and 3(DS) games that were released to the virtual console/Wii U shop - and no fussing around with emulators.

It’s a huge catalogue of games to play natively with proper Wii-mote support, or 3rd party bluetooth controllers

I’ll eventually get a picofly installed in my V2 Switch - but for the time being the Wii U is a great value gaming machine.
