Donald Trumpās Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer has resigned in the wake of allegations of misconduct in office, marking the third high-profile departure from the presidentās Cabinet within recent weeks.
Inquiries into complaints about her leadership ā alleging abuses of her positionās power, having an affair with a subordinate and drinking alcohol on the job ā have also forced out at least four other officials within the nationās labor agency, including her former chief of staff and deputy chief of staff, among others.
Another staffer was fired late last month after she sat for a four-hour interview with the departmentās inspector general.
Iām not surprised his secretaries keep leaving in disgrace, but I am surprised at how much it just keeps being alcohol and sex with subordinates.

This particular scandal was worse than you think. It wasnāt just that she was suspected of sleeping with her bodyguard, but itās that she was abusing her position to make young female staffers communicate work stuff through her father or through her husband (neither of whom were government employees) so that they could sexually harass them. Itās fucked up.
If it were just shitting where she ate, it wouldnāt even register in this administration. This was worse.
