Oh it has been a long time since I’ve heard those words. I had an Atari 800 and a printer and would set the thing to autodial sprint or radius or metro and hammer random codes until it got a dialtone. When it did it would print the code and return to work. I’d come home to a huge list and getting that pirated copy of Paperboy off a bbs in California using 5 hours of free long distance seemed like some cool James Bond trickery.
Lol. This kinda reminds me of early hacking. Phone Phreaking for LLM compute time instead of 10c/min.
