minus-squarechaogomu@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up7arrow-down3·1 month agoDays are shorter than months, which are shorter than years. Makes sense to go with smallest to largest.
minus-squareJoeBigelow@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up5·1 month agoIt might make sense but that doesn’t make it better
minus-squareJcbAzPx@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4arrow-down2·1 month agoAh, but the month number set is smaller than the day number set. It makes just as much sense to order by sets. Plus, starting with the month gives you time to remember what day it is without having to sit there awkwardly.
minus-squarebridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 month agoI prefer large to small imo, plus computers prefer yy mm dd too
minus-squareBCsven@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 month agoI prefer classifaction in descending order… Narrow down the yearx then the month then the day then the hour then the seconds. Absolutely nobody wants seconds first then minutes
minus-squaremacniel@feddit.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 month agoBut this would lead to files from the first of any month and any year to be bunched together.
