You didn’t “just need Nintendo Online”. You needed to have had it for consecutive two years as either the sole owner or head of the family account, 50 hours of having played games plus, crucially, having agreed to share that data with Nintendo, as well as having agreed to marketing emails, all prior to their announcement. Or you just preordered it literally anywhere else.

Ah, I meant the current Nintendo store system that they changed to after stopping the invite system. Anyone buying it from Nintendo of Europe can pre order it now as long as they have an active Switch Online subscription.

Oh, that is a new development I must have missed. Initially it had pretty tough restrictions, but they must have lifted them now. Thanks for letting me know!

I would never buy a gaming console that had a hardware booby trap. Why do so many companies hate their customers and fans?

Nintendo is just about the most dogshit a company can be without supporting Israel.

I was quite easily able to buy it from amazon.de. I could have bought three. Is it tough to buy one in the states? It will stay in airplane mode for reasons. Also, fuck Nintendo’s weird pre-order and their game/accessory prices. The fucking new pro controller is 90 euros.
