Three U.S. troops were killed and five more “seriously wounded” as part of the joint U.S.-Israel operation targeting Iranian military sites and government officials, according to U.S. Central Command, marking the first American deaths in the conflict.
Several other troops “sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions,” the command said Sunday, without giving a location. Iranian missiles have targeted some American bases in Bahrain, Iraq and Kuwait as part of the conflict, which the Pentagon has dubbed Operation Epic Fury.
These are the first confirmed U.S. fatalities since Donald Trump announced Saturday that the U.S. had begun “major combat operations” in Iran. And they dramatically raise the stakes. The fatalities are likely to intensify pressure on the White House and the Pentagon to respond forcefully, potentially widening the conflict beyond limited strikes into a more sustained military campaign.

thus far.
One less than Benghazi (RIP VileRat) so Conservative readers the US should be mounting up an investigation like the one against Hilary right? …right?
Hey Americans, how many more of your kids need to die for the interests of Israel and protecting pedophile racists before…you know…you do something? and I’m not even talking about much, just massive protests and general strikes. no “I can’t drive to DC” excuses I assume you live somewhere in the US that has at least ONE government building you can hold a sign outside of.
pathetic.
I’m in Portland, Oregon on the West Coast and we have people protesting every day here. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same in most big cities. I even see protests in suburbs and smaller towns. There was a massive turnout for the “no kings” protest back in October, and there’s another one coming up in March. People are protesting.
Our current national government isn’t very receptive to protests because they are essentially authoritarian and don’t have any shame or respect for the people. They’re still worth doing to sure our anger and resistance to the current government, but I don’t expect them to bring about real change.
We need Democrats to win a damn election, preferably those with a spine who understand that incremental change isn’t good enough. It wasn’t enough before, and especially isn’t now that Trump and the Republicans have effectively destroyed and dismantled our institutions.
The only thing that will change the current situation is democracy or revolution.
If there was more structured organizing, the state would have to be receptive. When the economy fully stops, they listen. A one off Saturday protest like No Kings doesn’t work because its irregular and not a financial protest. Tell your friends to stop using their credit cards, full stop. I appreciate your protest and am not saying you aren’t doing enough. But Americans as a whole can be doing a whole lot more, it’s embarrassing how many just whine about the democrats. Organize the left, the revolution is sanctions on all US companies
