House Oversight Chair James Comer on Tuesday issued a subpoena to Attorney General Pam Bondi to appear for a deposition on April 14 as part of the panelās Jeffrey Epstein probe.
Comer wrote in the subpoena cover letter that his panel is investigating the āpossible mismanagement of the federal governmentās investigationā into Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
āThe Committee has questions regarding the Department of Justiceās handling of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his associates and its compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act,ā Comer wrote, referring to the law passed by Congress last year mandating the Justice Departmentās release of the files.
Unless theyāre actually able and willing to hold her in contempt when she inevitably throws a tantrum and refuses to directly answer āYesā or āNoā to simple questions under oath, whatās the point?
They need to be absolutely willing to sic the Marshall on her if necessary and frog-march her to the Capitol Jail or whatever it is. Rules need TEETH. I am so sick of hearing how the US has āguardrailsā. Bullshit.
Start the hearing with informing her that refusal to answer any question will immediately result in the sargent at arms arresting her for charges of contempt of congress.
