Pretty sure China would block all lemmy instances they knew of, the smaller ones just flew under the radar.

Show me a more powerful handheld from the year 2017, that has the same (or smaller) size. Just 1 example is enough :)
Well, the original post (as in the image) is about locking yourself out of a remote server by changing a firewall rule, thus needing to drive to the server to access it locally.
By using wireguard to tunnel into the router, you can remotely enter the LAN, thus bypassing the firewall, as if you were accessing the server locally.
It let’s me remote into their LAN, thus bypassing the firewall

Not saying I believe in that, but that would be a very poetic form of justice/karma
Well, I have my server running in my parents basement, because they have fiber, and I don’t.
It’s not quite a 500km drive, but still a long enough distance for this scenario to be a major inconvenience.
But since I have wireguard running on their router though this specific scenario is not something that could happen to me
This is absolutely terrible advice. It takes an insane amount of physical activity to burn the calories of a meal, and being in a deficit will make you feel hungry regardless.
The majority of people need to worry about putting down their fork, not doing more physical activities

VPNs also accept many anonymous payment methods that happen to be easily accessible to children, like gift cards. And free VPNs exist

Cheap yes, reliable no.
I’ve been using them for my company a lot because of how cheap they are, but compared to other European competitors (like OVH) they are complete garbage. Their pricing is the only redeeming factor.
The Schwartz Group (parent company of Lidl) is currently building a German cloud platform, which sounds a lot more promising.

Yeah, but that saying is absolutely brain dead, because if you take it literally it states anyone that has ever missed their exit is a good driver, which clearly isn’t true

Anivia@feddit.orgto Privacy@lemmy.ml•A power utility is reporting suspected pot growers to cops. EFF says that’s illegal.1·16 days agoLower power use of LEDs just means you can have a larger operation with the same electrical connection.
Also dehumidifiers/air conditioning makes up a big part of the energy use as well. The plants transpire a ton of humidity into the air, which has to go somewhere, and the lights create a ton of heat (even LEDs), which has to be lowered as well.
During flower your lights will also be turned on for exactly 12 hours, and then turned off for exactly 12 hours. That’s an extremely easy pattern for a modern smart meter to recognize. Although that could be hidden somewhat by having a lot of small tents and staggering the timing of the lights, so they don’t all turn on and off at the exact same time. Makes working on the plants a lot less convenient though, since you must never open the tent while the lights are turned off, as light exposure during the dark period can cause hermies, which will ruin your harvest
I have a friend that says having muscles makes women too masculine. He was not amused when I asked him if that also means he is feminine because he doesn’t have any muscle (I don’t actually believe either is the case, just wanted to point out his hypocrisy)

You should own the domain of your email addresses, but please use a hosting service, for your own good
