Remnant 2, it’s third person but it’s one of my favorite games ever.
I’ll be honest, I downloaded Avowed through gamepass and couldn’t stand it for more than 4 hours.
It’s about as dull as a game can be and doesn’t excel at anything, even when compared to games that released 15 years ago.
Do I think it’s garbage? No, but I also would not recommend it to anyone, it’s not worth their time nor money.
30 seconds? You better put some Subway Surfers there or I’m out.
I played it for about 4 hours and dropped it, there just isn’t anything interesting to it.
NPCs are probably the worst part, they couldn’t even make them move around despite Morrowind pulling that off over 20 years ago.

I mean, I get that, but I run all my other games at 4k with no issues.
My experience so far has been very different. I have a 6950 and can barely hit 60 fps on high settings with upscaled 4k.
Have you seen what the recent UE5 games play like? Not even frame generation can make them run smoothly.

I didn’t get that far to be honest, the first world felt so by the numbers that I just kinda never picked it back up and looked up the rest of the story online.
I can’t say I missed much and my expectations for the next one are about as low as they can get at this point.
I thought Outer Worlds was a pretty mid but Avowed is not grabbing me at all so far.
Standing on a pile of Nazi corpses definitely reminded me of Wolfenstein, even as Indy.

Machine games has been working on Indiana Jones for the last few years, I doubt we’ll see anything for a while.
Having a crowd in the background makes it even worse somehow.
It’s a big improvement on every area, especially the bosses and levels.
It’s the kind of game that makes it hard to go back to the original.
