    ‘Federally Protected’ is a meaningless phrase in 2026…

    It actually means a lot of you can’t afford to pay the bribe (a.k.a. settle a frivolous lawsuit).

      Laws protecting endangered species are not frivolous.

      But yes, you are correct it does mean that the richer companies can pay the bribes, and a scrappy outsider cannot. Wouldn’t even know which lawyers to hire to pay the bribes.
