so i need navy blue and sunlu doesnt seem to have it. i have only used sunlu. what do you guys recommend?
EDIT: Thank you to everyone who responded. prusament seems to be a favpriye but i will try all of them. as @[email protected] said, my bambu hasnt been picky but i also have some ender memories
Inland, the microcenter house brand, is surprisingly good for the price point and comes in basically every color imaginable.
Polymaker is also very good with lots of colors. They used to be very expensive but the price is competitive today.
Never had any issues with Hatchbox, it’s my favorite PLA. I’ll use Overture if I want something cheaper that works. Prusament if I want to spend an arm and a leg for shipping. I usually only order Prusament if I need something else from Prusa.
Before my last printer died 5 years ago, I was getting good results with Hatchbox filament. Not sure about their current state, but they were the most reliable I had found at that time. Looks like they currently have one I would call navy blue.
My new printer is supposed to arrive today, so I’ll be going through the filament evaluation grind again soon.
I love Hatchbox. They have excellent filaments and rich colors. Can’t say enough love of them. particularly like their matte ones. They were really easy to dial in to perfect.
The ones I’ve come to really like for their consistent quality results are:
- Prusament (PETG)
- Fiberlogy (ASA) <-- I’m sure i have a navy blue spool from them in my print room. I’d double check, but it’s way past my bed time
- eSun (ABS)
- Addnorth (Various)
Fiberlogy MattFlex has been awesome!
Also thumbs up for Add:North. Been really consistent with both PLA and PETG.
Filamentum is also really nice.
I tend to stick Elegoo PLA/PLA+ and that usually works well for me - their dark blue looks fantastic IMO. Overture’s PLA seems to print well too, so did the roll of eSun I got.
Just avoid Creality Ender PLA at all costs. That stuff was awful!
The Elegoo Rapid PETG works great too. There aren’t as many color choices as their PLA though.
