Summary

Special Counsel Jack Smithā€™s report on Trumpā€™s election interference case, released by the Justice Department, details Trumpā€™s attempts to retain power after losing the election.

Trump responded with late-night social media posts, calling Smith ā€œderanged,ā€ spreading falsehoods about destroyed evidence, and claiming a 2020 election ā€œlandslideā€ victory.

Despite having time to prepare a response, Trumpā€™s reaction consisted of late-night tweets filled with lies and falsehoods.

The president-elect concluded that he won a second term ā€œin a landslideā€ (he didnā€™t), adding that American voters ā€œhave spokenā€ ā€” which is true, though not at all relevant in this context, since the electorateā€™s verdict was not directly related to the defendantā€™s criminal indictment.

Um, what? True? He won, yes, but he did not win in a landslide by any definition. He didnā€™t even win with more than 50% of the voters. Trump won 49.9 percent of the voteā€¦ in what world (other than in his own addled mind) is that a landslide?

Whatā€™s with you attempting to factually refute bullshit? Trump wants it to be a landslide, so itā€™s a landslide, and the lapdog media repeats it.
